KPRA Achieves Strong Start in Financial Year 2024-25 with 40% Revenue Growth:

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority “KPRA” (Achieves Revenue Target) has kicked off the fiscal year 2024-25, collecting a remarkable Rs 14.84 billion in just the first four months.

This marks a significant 40% increase compared to the same period last year, when KPRA collected Rs 10.58 billion showing an impressive rise of Rs 4.26 billion.

Breakdown of KPRA’s Revenue Collection:

According to the KPRA media team, the revenue collected during this period came from the following sources:

Sales Tax on Services: Rs 11.25 billion
Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC): Rs3.59 billion

This year, sales tax on services increased by 21% compared to last year, reaching Rs 9.3 billion.

The Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC) saw an impressive 180% growth, going well beyond last year’s Rs 1.28 billion collection.

In the second phase of the Swat Corridor Transmission Line Project, the transmission line will be extended by 80 kilometers from Madain to Chakdara.

This extension will help distribute electricity from several hydropower projects, each generating hundreds of megawatts, that the provincial government is currently developing in Swat.
