The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education (Taleem) Card will help students by covering school fees and other education-related expenses.
It will first be launched in nine underdeveloped districts, including:
- Upper Kohistan
- Lower Kohistan
- Kolai-Palas
- Torghar
- Upper Chitral
- Lower Chitral
- Taank
- Upper South Waziristan
- Lower South Waziristan
More districts in the province will progressively be added to the program.

- Support for Girls: All girls in grades 6th to 10th who attend government schools across the province will receive a monthly stipend of PKR 500.
Projected Impact on Students:
The program will first help around 40,000 students, with plans to expand across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The monthly stipend for girls is expected to support about 550,000 students, funded by an annual budget of PKR 3.1 billion from the provincial government.
Additional Support under the Education Card:
In addition to providing financial support, the Education Card program will integrate several current facilities.
- Free Textbooks: All students from grades one to twelve will receive free textbooks, benefiting nearly 5 million children.
- Scholarships for Talented Students: The ETEA program will offer scholarships to 506 deserving students, encouraging academic excellence.
Establishing a Sustainable Education Fund:
To make sure the Education Card program runs smoothly for years to come, the government has set up the Education Emergency Endowment Fund.
They have put in an initial amount of PKR 3 billion. This fund will provide steady financial support to keep the program going over the long term.
Conclusion:
The KPK Government Education Card is a revolutionary step toward helping students from poor backgrounds get an education.
The program aims to improve the quality of education and give all children in the province equal chances by removing money problems and encouraging them to go to school.
