In a significant step (special person aid program) toward supporting vulnerable communities, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has distributed financial assistance to specially-abled individuals in Malakand’s Kharki Durgai area.
The initiative, led by Pir Masoor Khan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (KP) for Forests, Wildlife, Environment, and Climate Change, aims to uplift marginalized groups through direct aid.

Financial Assistance Distributed in Malakand:
Under the first phase of the program, 2,700 deserving individuals in Malakand received checks worth PKR 10,000 each.
The distribution ceremony was attended by District Social Welfare Officer Sabir Khan, school principal Naseeb Gul, social welfare officials, and a large number of beneficiaries.
Pir Masoor Khan highlighted the government’s commitment to inclusivity: “This initiative reflects our dedication to improving the lives of specially-abled citizens.”
He further emphasized that the Chief Minister of KP has prioritized their welfare, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Phase-Wise Expansion Across KP:
The Malakand distribution marks the beginning of a broader campaign. Government data indicates that future phases will extend financial aid to specially-abled individuals in other districts.
Khan emphasized the importance of a systematic approach, ensuring transparency and efficiency in identifying beneficiaries.
KP Government’s Broader Welfare Initiatives:
Beyond financial aid, the KP government has launched multiple programs to empower citizens:
- Sehat Insaf Card: Free healthcare access for low-income families.
- Free Solar System: Providing sustainable energy solutions to underserved communities.
- Shelter Homes: Safe spaces for homeless individuals.
- Drug Rehabilitation Centers: Supporting recovery for addiction-affected individuals.
Pir Mansoor Khan said,
“These projects are proof of our people-first governance. We’re tackling poverty, health disparities, and climate challenges holistically.”
Community Impact & Future Goals:
The financial aid program has been met with gratitude, providing immediate relief to families facing economic hardships.
Beneficiaries praised the government’s efforts to address their needs directly.
Looking ahead, the KP government plans to expand social safety nets, including educational support and vocational training, to promote long-term self-reliance among vulnerable groups.

By providing financial help for immediate needs and investing in long-term welfare projects, the province hopes to build a more inclusive and strong community.
