The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa public service system, Dastak, once again made headlines across the country due to its performance. In the PASHA ICT Awards 2024, “The Dastak app wins the award (the gold award) in the category of digital Government and Digital Services, not only winning first place but also proving its competence and quality in providing better services to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In this competition, the Punjab IT Board (PITB) won second place and the National IT Board (NITB) won third place.
PASHA ICT Awards: A Brief Introduction:
The PASHA ICT Awards are held annually to recognize excellence in the field of technology and digital services in Pakistan. There were more than 1,170 nominations at the 2024 awards, of which only 32 were given gold awards. The awards are presented in categories such as Digital Transformation, Digital Government, E-Commerce, FinTech, and more.

“Dastak” is a modern and functional public service system that provides easy access to government services to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The system helps citizens register complaints, monitor their resolution, and avail of various government services. This year “Dastak” was awarded the Gold Award in the category of Digital Government and Digital Services at the PASHA ICT Awards. This is a great achievement, as only a handful of services received the Gold Award out of 1,170 nominations. How does the knock system work:
“Dastak” provides citizens with access to various government services on a single platform through an app and web portal. This platform is built with the help of modern technology to provide better and faster services to the citizens.
Citizens can register their complaints or requests through “knock”, and their redressal process is done in a completely transparent manner. Each application is assigned a tracking number through which the applicant can monitor the status of his/her complaint.
