Introduction:
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched an important program to promote sports and healthy activities in the province.
This effort comes from a partnership between KP’s Higher Education Department and the Zalmi Foundation, officially agreed upon by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur present at the event.

- Preparation of new pitches.
- Upgrading grounds with better facilities.

Women Cricket Championship: A Step Towards Empowerment:
This agreement sets up the Women’s Cricket Championship to encourage more women to get involved in sports. The goal of this program is to:
- Develop a Provincial Women’s Cricket Team: The championship will help create a provincial cricket team to represent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in national tournaments.
- Boost Women’s Sports: Getting women involved in cricket not only supports female athletes but also promotes equal opportunities for men and women in sports.
Championship Details:
- Date and Venue: Matches will start from 26th to 30th November at the Hayatabad Sports Complex.
- Participating Teams: A total of eight teams from the provincial capital and all seven divisions of KP will compete.
- Composition of Teams: Each team will consist of 50% college students and 50% university students, ensuring equal representation.
